English Language Classes
Improve your skills in Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening & Computers
All these classes are held at the Clarinda Community Centre, Viney St, Clarinda.
Classes are small, friendly & flexible, and governement funded.
Beginners English+++
A very basic entry level course for those with limited English skills or confidence Wed & Thurs 1 – 4 pm
$260 per year, $130.00 per 1/2 year,
or 65.00 per term. Concession: $50.00 per year

Improve your general reading, writing speaking & listening skills
Mon & Tues 9am—12

Beginners Computer Skills +++
For the complete beginner and covers all the skills you will need to use your computer.
Fridays 9.30am - 12 x 9 weeks

A meeting with the teacher to discuss which level is appropriate for you will be arranged prior to starting for all English class students.
Computer Skills
Basic Computing Skills +++
For the complete beginner and covers all the skills you will need to use your computer or as a pathway to other courses. Includes Internet, email, freeware,
downloading to your computer plus an overview of common software applications.
Internet & Email Skills +++
You will learn the skills needed to complete basic search tasks ,use a browsing program, using email and downloading.
Introduction to E-Bay
Learn how to Buy & Sell items safely, the types of fees charged by eBay, what to do when listings close,
e-mail notes to buyers/ sellers, accepting or making payments, attaching photos and using PayPal.
Computers: Beyond the Basics +++
This course follows on from the basic course and will refresh your
basic skills and plug those gaps. Also covers Internet, basic MS Word and MS Publisher, using images & clipart, using memory sticks,
troubleshooting, computer security & viruses and more.
(you must have completed a basic computer skills course)
Fun with Publisher +++
Use this popular program to create personal
stationary, cards, gift tags, labels, calendars, family newsletters, 9.30am—12 x 8 weeks

MYOB V19
Learn how to computerise your business accounts
using MYOB. Covers setting up & modifying accounts, general ledger, debtors & creditors & bank reconciliation. Basic book keeping knowledge and computer skills required
Microsoft Office 2010 Skills +++
The course will provide participants with the essentials of MS Office 2007. Covers Word ,
Excel, Access, & publisher.
(You must have basic computer skills)

Crafty Crafters
This social craft group meets for some craft, a cuppa, fun & laughter. Why not come along and join in the fun and work on your current craft project. Every Friday 1 – 3 pm Cost $2 p.w.
Gardening Club
Monthly gathering of interested people who enjoy recreational gardening.
3rd Wednesday month 10 am—12, gold coin donation
